Workflow improvement
Better customer journeys. Less friction behind the scenes.
Start with the real problem. Understand what happens today, then choose the smallest practical improvement.
Crux works with service businesses to understand where a customer journey or team process gets stuck. Clinical expertise is part of our perspective, and businesses beyond healthcare are welcome.
Problems worth understanding
- A photo has to travel through several messages before it becomes a quote and a booking.
- Returning customers keep resubmitting details the team already holds.
- Staff copy information between tools and chase a status to learn what happens next.
- Requests arrive without the information someone needs to act.
These are prompts for investigation, not assumed diagnoses or client results. We look at the actual steps, people and tools involved before suggesting a change.
A paid scoped workflow review
After a free 30-minute fit call, a paid scoped workflow review can make sense when the problem needs closer examination. We agree its scope and fee before it starts. The review provides:
- A current-state map of how the work moves today.
- Bottleneck evidence, grounded in observed steps and suitable anonymised examples.
- Existing-tool options, including any relevant supplier or access dependencies.
- A smallest-change recommendation, with an estimate and dependencies for the next step.
Existing tools first. A clearer process, a setting or a feature in software you already use may be enough. The review is advice and a defined deliverable; it does not commit you to a build.
If a build makes sense
Any separately agreed build gets its own scope, estimate, dependencies and acceptance criteria. Build tests cover routine use and likely failure cases. We define a fallback, prepare a clear handover and agree a baseline to measure the change against. We do not assume the answer is an automatic portal or a new platform.
Clinical expertise, wider application
Nursing experience helps us understand the demands and responsibilities of clinical settings. The same habit of tracing a real workflow, finding where effort accumulates and fitting the solution to the people doing the work applies to service businesses beyond healthcare.
Our founder's Nudge and CadenceRx work was at Cadence Health. Those products are examples of experience, not off-the-shelf Crux subscriptions. See Nudge and CadenceRx.
Start with a fit call
Bring one workflow: what starts it, what people do next and where it slows down or gets repeated. Please use anonymised examples, not customer or patient records. The free 30-minute call is to check fit and decide whether a scoped review is useful.
